Resistivity of Non-Fermi Liquid U2Pt2In Under Pressure
Non-Fermi liquid behaviour in single-crystalline U2Pt2In has been studied by means of resistivity experiments (I||c) under hydrostatic pressure (P<1.5 GPa). At ambient pressure the resistivity ρ(T) follows a power law ρ~T with α~0.5. Upon applying pressure α increases. For P>1 GPa a minimum develops in ρ(T). A study of the field dependence of the minimum confirms its magnetic origin. The ratio ...
متن کاملA novel non-Fermi-liquid state in the iron-pnictide FeCrAs
We report transport and thermodynamic properties of stoichiometric single crystals of the hexagonal iron-pnictide FeCrAs. The in-plane resistivity shows an unusual “non-metallic” dependence on temperature T , rising continuously with decreasing T from ∼800 K to below 100 mK. The c-axis resistivity is similar, except for a sharp drop upon entry into an antiferromagnetic state at TN ∼ 125 K. Belo...
متن کاملnon-corrective approach to pronunciation
the aim of this study has been to find answers for the following questions: 1. what is the effect of immediate correction on students pronunciation errors? 2. what would be the effect of teaching the more rgular patterns of english pronunciation? 3. is there any significant difference between the two methods of dealing with pronuciation errore, i. e., correction and the teaching of the regular ...
15 صفحه اولCrossover from Fermi Liquid to Non-Fermi Liquid Behavior in a Solvable One-Dimensional Model
We consider a quantum many-body problem in one-dimension described by a Jastrow type wavefunction, characterized by an exponent λ and a parameter γ. In the limit γ = 0 the model becomes identical to the well known 1/r2 pair-potential model; γ is shown to be related to the strength of a many body correction to the 1/r2 interaction. Exact results for the one-particle density matrix are obtained f...
متن کاملTransition from non Fermi Liquid Behavior to Landau Fermi Liquid Behavior Induced by Magnetic Fields
We show that a strongly correlated Fermi system with the fermion condensate, which exhibits strong deviations from Landau Fermi liquid behavior, is driven into the Landau Fermi liquid by applying a small magnetic field B at temperature T = 0. This field-induced Landau Fermi liquid behavior provides the constancy of the KadowakiWoods ratio. A re-entrance into the strongly correlated regime is ob...
